How it works #

Open the panel

Run /roleall or %roleall. A panel opens that only you can use.

Pick an operation

Choose Add Role or Remove Role, then select the role from the dropdown.

Narrow it down (optional)

Use filters to target exactly the right members. See the list below.

Preview

Press Preview Members to see how many members match and roughly how long it will take.

Start

Press Start Operation. Ethvex posts a live progress message in the channel and works through every member in the background.

Filters #

FilterWhat it does
Has RoleOnly include members who already have a certain role.
Missing RoleOnly include members who do not have a certain role.
Humans OnlySkip bots. This is on by default.
Bots OnlyOnly include bots.
Joined DateOnly include members who joined after and/or before a date, written as YYYY-MM-DD.
Account Age MinOnly include accounts at least this many days old.

While it runs #

  • The progress message shows a progress bar, how many members are done, and an estimated time left. It updates every 5 seconds.
  • It also counts how many roles were applied, how many members were skipped because they already had (or did not have) the role, and any errors.
  • The person who started it, or anyone with Manage Roles, can press Cancel Operation at any time.
  • If Ethvex restarts in the middle, the operation picks up where it left off.
  • Only one Role All operation can run in a server at a time.

History #

Press View History in the panel to see the last 5 operations in your server, with their result and when they finished.

Ethvex can only give or remove roles that sit below its own highest role. Move the Ethvex role above the role you want to hand out first.

Role All goes carefully to stay within Discord limits, so very large servers can take a while. The preview tells you roughly how long.
