How Premium Works

From joining on Patreon to activating Pro on your servers, renewals and cancelling.

Pro works in two parts. Your Patreon membership belongs to you, and it comes with a number of server slots. You then activate Pro on the servers you choose, one slot per server.

Step by step #

Join a tier on Patreon

Choose 1, 3 or 5 servers on patreon.com/ethvex.

Connect your Discord account

In Patreon, open Settings, then Connected Apps, and connect Discord. This is how Ethvex knows which Discord account the membership belongs to.

Get your welcome DM

Once Patreon confirms your membership, Ethvex sends you a DM with your tier, your number of server slots and your next charge date. Keep your DMs open so it can reach you.

Activate on a server

Go to the server you want to upgrade, run /premium and press Activate Here, then Activate to confirm.

Done

Every member of that server can now use the Pro features. You and the server owner both get a DM confirming it.

Membership not showing?

Run /premium and press Sync with Patreon. Ethvex looks up your membership directly on Patreon and links it to your Discord account straight away.

Server slots #

  • Pro · 1 Server gives you 1 slot, Pro · 3 Servers gives you 3 and Pro · 5 Servers gives you 5.
  • Each server you activate uses one slot. Activating again on a server you already upgraded does not use another one.
  • You do not need any permissions in a server to activate Pro there. The server owner gets a DM letting them know.
  • If another member already activated Pro on that server, activating it yourself moves the server onto your membership.
  • Need more servers? Upgrade your tier on Patreon. Your new slot count updates automatically.

You can see how many slots you have used with the My Servers button in /premium, or with My Subscriptions.

Renewals #

Patreon charges you once a month. Every time your membership renews, Pro on all of your activated servers renews with it. You do not need to do anything.

When a membership ends #

  • 3 days before Pro runs out on a server, you and the server owner get a reminder DM.
  • When it runs out, the Pro features switch off on that server and you both get a DM.
  • Your settings are kept. Nothing you set up is deleted, the server simply goes back to the Free limits.
  • To bring Pro back, renew on Patreon and run /premium in the server again to activate it.

Cancelling and payments #

Everything to do with money is handled on Patreon. To cancel, change tier, update your card or see your receipts, open your Patreon membership. The Manage on Patreon button in /premium and /billing takes you straight there.

Troubleshooting #

  • No Patreon membership found. Make sure your Discord account is connected in Patreon under Settings, then Connected Apps. Then press Sync with Patreon in /premium. If you only just connected it, wait a few minutes and try again.
  • All server slots used. Your tier is full. Upgrade your tier on Patreon for more slots. To move Pro from one server to another, open a ticket in our support server.
  • Payment declined. Patreon could not charge your card. Update your payment method on Patreon and Pro comes back once the payment goes through.
