Join to Create keeps your voice channels tidy. Instead of lots of empty voice channels, you have one trigger channel. When a member joins it, Ethvex creates a brand new voice room just for them, moves them into it, and makes them its owner. When everyone leaves, the room deletes itself.

Free and Pro #

Free

1 trigger channel

Pro

Unlimited trigger channels

Compare plans

Each trigger channel has its own settings, so on Pro you can run different trigger channels for different things, like a Gaming trigger with 5 person rooms and a Chill trigger with unlimited rooms.

Setting it up #

Create a voice channel

Make a normal voice channel to use as the trigger, for example Join to Create. Put it in the category where you want rooms to appear.

Open the panel

Run /jointocreate.

Add a trigger

Press Add Trigger and pick your voice channel.

Configure it

Press Configure next to the trigger to choose the room name, limits and privacy. See the settings below.

Enable the system

Press Enable. Join the trigger channel to try it out.

Ethvex needs Manage Channels and Move Members to create rooms and move people into them.

Prefix panels

With the prefix version, the panel is posted in the channel, but only the person who ran the command can press its buttons. Anyone else gets a private note telling them to run the command themselves. Prefix panels close after 5 minutes without use.

Trigger settings #

Press Edit Settings on a trigger to change these:

SettingWhat it does
Room NameThe name of each new room. Use the variables below. Default: {user}'s Room.
User LimitHow many people can be in a room. 0 means unlimited, the most is 99.
BitrateAudio quality from 8 to 384 kbps. Default 64. Higher values need more server boosts.
CooldownSeconds a member must wait before they can create another room. 0 means no cooldown.
Max Active RoomsHow many rooms each member can own at once from this trigger. 0 means unlimited.

The trigger page also has these buttons:

ButtonWhat it does
PrivacyThe default privacy of new rooms: Public (anyone can see and join), Locked (everyone can see it, only invited members can join) or Hidden (invisible to everyone except invited members).
PersistentWhen on, rooms stay even after everyone leaves. When off (the default), empty rooms are deleted automatically.
Set CategoryPick the category new rooms are created in. Use Trigger's Category puts them next to the trigger channel.
Delete TriggerRemoves this trigger. You confirm first.

Room name variables

{user}

The owner's username

{displayname}

The owner's display name in your server

{count}

A running room number

{trigger}

The name of the trigger channel

For example 馃幃 {displayname}'s Squad becomes 馃幃 Alex's Squad.

Per user room limits #

With Max Active Rooms set, a member who already owns that many rooms cannot create another one. Instead, Ethvex sends them a message telling them the limit, with a link straight to their active room so they can jump back in. The message goes to their DMs, or into the trigger channel's chat for 60 seconds if their DMs are closed.

System settings #
