Verification puts a gate in front of your server. New members only see one channel until they verify, then Ethvex gives them your Verified role and the rest of the server opens up. It stops bots and raid accounts before they can post anything.

Completely free

Every verification method and setting is free on every server.

Pick a method #

MethodHow members verifyBest for
ButtonClick a button under the verification message.Small and friendly servers
ReactionReact with an emoji on the verification message. The default emoji is ⭐.A classic "react to agree to the rules" setup
CaptchaClick a button, get an image with a code, then type the code in.Public servers that get bot or raid traffic
Voice channelJoin a chosen voice channel and stay for a set time.Voice first communities
MessageType a passphrase in the verification channel.Making sure people actually read your rules

Setting it up #

Run /verifyconfig and a six step wizard walks you through everything.

Method

Choose one of the five methods.

Method settings

Fine tune it, like the button label and colour, the captcha difficulty, the voice channel or the passphrase.

Message

Design the verification message as Plain Text, an Embed or a Container.

Roles

Pick the Verified role members get. You can also pick an Unverified role that new members get on join and lose once they verify.

Channel

Choose the channel the verification message is posted in. Unverified members can only see this channel.

Review and activate

Check everything and press Activate. Ethvex posts the message and sets up the channel permissions for you.

Ethvex needs Manage Roles and Manage Channels, and its role must sit above your Verified, Unverified and Suspect roles.

Managing it later #

Once verification is active, /verifyconfig opens a management panel with four tabs: Status, Message, Roles and Settings. From the Status tab you can repost the verification message after editing it, fix channel permissions, start or end a lockdown, or press Re-run Setup to change the method or its settings.

Want extra protection on top? Pair verification with the Raid Protection and Account Age modules in AutoMod.

Opens the setup wizard the first time, and the management panel once verification is active.
%verify
Opens the same panel in the channel. Only you can use its buttons.
